Questions and answers
What is my photography style?
As for my photography style, it is a mix of preparation and spontaneity, depending on the situation. I aim to capture natural images, but when time allows, we also create guided, posed photos and portraits. I will always be by your side, guiding you and letting you know what to do.
During the ceremony, photography is done exclusively in a documentary style, capturing authentic moments as they unfold. During the photo session, I focus on helping you feel relaxed, creating intimacy and movement in the images. If you feel unsure at any point, I will be there to offer advice and guidance. The evening coverage is also documentary in style, without the need for staged photos.
When it comes to the look of the photographs, the best way to understand my style is by browsing through my wedding galleries. For me, it is important that the photos are sharp and well-focused, with natural colors and slightly enhanced green and yellow tones. I use flash only in the evening, and only when absolutely necessary.
What do I retouch in my photos?
Every photograph in my gallery is carefully edited: first, the images are selected, then the colors are adjusted in Lightroom. Each photo is opened individually in Photoshop, where skin retouching is done and unnecessary objects are removed from the background. I do not alter clothing, I do not add objects that were not in the original photo, and I do not move elements from one place to another. I make only minimal adjustments to clothing and subtly refine body shape to enhance it naturally, without making drastic changes.
In which cities do I photograph?
I provide wedding photo sessions throughout Romania and across Europe. I also offer personal and other types of photo sessions in Transylvania and its surrounding areas, as well as in the city of Blaj and nearby regions.
Is it important for the photographs to be high quality?
The word “quality” is a very subjective concept, but in my opinion, it depends first and foremost on the “heroes” of the photo session—how relaxed you are and how well you follow the photographer’s guidance. With a strong foundation in these aspects, the photographer will then add all the other necessary elements to create a truly “high-quality” photograph.
Why don’t you receive all the photos that were taken?
First of all, during one hour of photographing your event, I often take around 1,000 photos. If it’s a full-day event, the number can reach up to 10,000 images. All photos are captured in a special format, and to view them you would need dedicated software. Each file is between 20–30MB in size, so transferring such a large amount of data would be difficult. And, of course, you wouldn’t want to see all the unsuccessful shots—those where you might be caught mid-expression or in other unflattering moments.
Can I expect more photos than those specified in the contract?
Yes, if there are more beautiful photos, I will select and deliver them. Even though this takes more time, I don’t mind going beyond the initially agreed number of photos.
How is the security of the photographs ensured during and after the event?
First of all, the equipment I use allows me to record photos simultaneously on two XQD cards, ensuring continuous backup during the event. After the event, I don’t rush to delete the images from the cards. The photos transferred to the computer are carefully selected, and the chosen ones are additionally uploaded to the cloud for extra security.
What equipment do I work with?
I work with state-of-the-art equipment, Nikon Z8 and Nikon Z9, which deliver top-tier performance and exceptional image quality. That said, I want to emphasize that while technology plays an important role, it’s not the camera itself that creates a great photograph, but the person behind it. Still, high-performance equipment helps capture every detail and important moment, and with the gear I use, I can ensure the best possible results.
Do you take photos with a drone?
Yes, as long as weather conditions are favorable, I always try to fly the drone to capture unique perspectives and impressive aerial images.
Do you provide guidance with posing during photo sessions?
Yes, absolutely—I will guide you throughout the photo session, offering suggestions on what to do so that the experience feels pleasant and relaxed, not like tiring work. I’m always there to advise you and guide you in the right direction. I don’t want to create standard photos, but to capture your true story. I usually shoot in a documentary style, and when needed, I add a few guided poses. I take into account each couple’s personality and shape the session so it becomes an enjoyable experience for both of you, allowing everything to flow as naturally and harmoniously as possible.
